I’ll be honest, every morning isn’t a screen-free morning. I do try to have most mornings screen-free and to take it slow, trying to avoid jumping into something very stimulating like screens.
We’ve been loving our Toniebox. We have both the Toniebox and Toniebox2. Our original Toniebox is in the bedroom with her bedtime story and lullaby songs Tonies, while the Toniebox2 typically lives in the living room with her other toys. We haven’t bought the new Tonieplay games for the Toniebox 2, but we do plan on it.
I have a code for $15 off [*link] - I do receive $15 as well through their “refer-a-friend program.”
The Tonies I love first thing in the morning are Healthy Habits Hippo Tonie [link] and Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood Tonie [link]. There is also a Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood Tonies (2) Pack with Jodi Platypus, or you can buy them individually.

We have been involving our daughter in the kitchen since she was 2, and she’s almost 3 now. Watching her progress over the year has been nothing short of amazing, but it has required a lot of patience. I prep her strawberries by cutting off the tops and start peeling off the orange - she then cuts her strawberries into quarters and peels her own orange. She loves to help her dad make pancakes by mixing the batter, and if there are eggs involved, she helps by cracking them into a separate bowl - one day she’ll master it, but for now, it’s more like crushing the egg and a lot of fishing out the shells.
The cutting kit we got from Amazon [*link] was 100% worth it. The knives work well with more “sturdy” fruits and vegetables, like strawberries, cucumbers, and potatoes, but I don’t recommend them for softer foods like tomatoes. We have had a hard time cutting the skin without her completely mushing the tomato's soft inside.
Lastly, we try to get outside and some morning fresh air before it gets too hot. Living in Hawaii, it’s often hot and sunny - and being a more tropical climate, it’s also a little humid. Her grandpa got her a playground set for Christmas, and she’s been playing on it every day since. He got it from Wal-Mart [link], and I recommend signing up for their rewards membership (I think it’s about $12.99 a month), ordering it, and then, after you’ve set it up and everything is all good, cancel your membership. To ship it to Hawaii because their store closest to us didn’t have it, it would have been $300; however, it was free for members. My father-in-law said it was the best $12.99 he’s probably ever spent.
Other outside activities we would do are a walk around the block, a short 15-20 minute walk, but we still get a little bit of sun and fresh air first thing in the day. Or, we would play in the yard, playing with balls or chalk - anything to get us outside for 15-20 minutes.
